WHAT IS THE NEW YORK RESTORATION PROJECT?
NYRP is a 30-year-old nonprofit stewarding parks, gardens, and open space throughout NYC. NYRP works collaboratively with residents in communities across the five boroughs to renovate gardens, restore parks, plant trees, promote urban agriculture, and build partnerships that transform the city’s landscape.
The NYRP:
Stewards over 80 acres of parkland in Northern Manhattan
Owns and operates more than 50 community gardens throughout all five boroughs
Distributes thousands of free trees annually
And builds almost two dozen new gardens every year
